Richard Glynn has been a photographer since the late 70s, and until completing his MA in Photography in 2010 was largely self-taught. He has a background in construction engineering, which informed the body of work Lost Waltz (for which he was selected as an Axisweb MAstar), but photographically has eclectic tastes and is essentially a portrait and documentary photographer.

He began exhibiting in 2003, and has since regularly shown work in solo and group exhibitions from England to South Africa. In February 2008 he co-founded artist-led collective Wideyed, and with colleagues Lucy Carolan and Louise Taylor has contributed to the management and production of exhibitions and events, completed commissions, managed community arts projects, run workshops, and participated in international arts festivals, fairs and residencies.
